Delicious!!

Dear Yasmin,

Mommy and Daddy wanted to see if you can start feeding yourself today. We gave you a piece of apple and see what would you do with it. You picked it up, looked at it, shaked your arm around, banged the apple on the table, then put it in your mouth. You laughed and gave us a very proud smile!

Finally the first tooth is cut

Dear Yasmin,

When mommy bathed you today, as usual she cleaned your mouth and she felt a little bump on your gum. Mommy asked daddy to checked, so the 2 of us hovered above your head trying to open and look into your mouth. We were so happy your first tooth is cut! Although we still can't see the tooth, but we have been so worried why you still haven't cut your first tooth by 10 month. We hugged and kissed you and we were so happy!!

Kissy Girl 啜啜 錫哂你

Dear Yasmin,

When I found you awake this morning, you were playing with your bolsters, and as soon as you saw me, you smile with your mouth wide open and gave me a kiss. Daddy's day is made!

Mommy and Daddy have been trying to figure out when did you pick up making the kissing sound. Friday night when we went to Granny's for dinner, out of the blue you gave granny and grandpa a kiss, they were so happy laughing that we couldn't find their eyes.

Now you kisses seems to be the exlir to brighten up our days, make everything alright and worthwhile.

Dear Yasmin,
We went to the library today! Mommy and Daddy want you to enjoy reading when you grow up, so we took you to the library to find some books to read to you. We found Mother Goose, Wobble bear, and You are special.
You loved the pictures in the books, you even tried to turn the pages for mommy!

Dear Yasmin,
Today you have your own armchair!! Mommy and Daddy want you to begin to try sitting up. We got you a Bumbo seat and you were so happy in it. Granny and Aunty Annie saw you and laughed because you looked like sitting on the toilet!

Dear Yasmin,

Today you started Bu bu Buuuuuuuuuuuu........ and your spittle flew everywhere. Daddy blew strawberries on your tummy after your morning bath, and you giggled. It took you just half a day to copy and master the skill of spitting and we can see foam at the corners of your little mouth.
Daddy had just nicknamed you the 'hairy crab'. The fresh hairy crab always have foam at the mouth, just like you.

Dear Yasmin,

You managed turning over easily tonight. I am so happy watching you turning from you back to tummy to your back again. You have been trying to turn for the last 2 weeks. You would turn and fold one of your arms under your body, when you couldn't pull that arm out to suport yourself, you could complain. Daddy and Mommy always cheer you on when you tried to turn. I had such a fright just now when you almost rolled off the bed!! This new mobility is going to give mommy and daddy the scare all the time now.

Dear Yasmin,
Mommy called Daddy today and gave me a big surprise! She would bring you home today! You didn't sleep until very late last night. Mommy was very worried because since you went to Malaysia, you didn't seemed to be able to sleep well, she is afraid that may affect your growth. Maybe the surrounding is different, maybe you were too excited by all the fun you had, you seemed to wake frequently during the night. Daddy was very happy to see you so soon again, but I know Mommy was really homesick and wants to be with granny until this weekend.
When you got home, Daddy held you very tightly. To my delight, you were just a little pinkish, not tanned.

Dear Yasmin,
Today was a sad day for daddy. Daddy left you and Mommy in Kuala Selangor and came back to Singapore on my own to go to work. When 2nd Uncle drove daddy to the bus station late last night, Daddy was very sad to wave goodbye to Mommy and you. This is the very first time Daddy did not spend with you since your birth. When Daddy arrived home and found the house without your sound and without Mommy, daddy felt very bad. When Mommy called me this morning, Daddy cried because I missed you and Mommy so much.
Daddy will finished my work and go back to Malaysia on Thursday to bring you and Mommy home over the weekend.
See you on Thursday!!

Dear Yasmin,
Today is an important day, today brought you back to Mommy's home town, Kuala Selangor to see granny and grandpa!
2nd Uncle came last night from Malaysia, and Daddy and Mommy packed the whole day to make sure you have everything you need in Malaysia. We filled the van with your playpen, mattress, changing mat, clothes, even your bath basin and laundry bucket and Napisan.
At one in the afternoon we started our journey. you slept most of the way and woke up only at the highway stop. Sleeping in transit and in transportation is a Chan's talent, so Daddy was very glad you slept most of the journey. We arrived in Klang at 6pm and we were famished so we had Daddy's favourite Chicken Nando's for a very late lunch. We finally arrived in Kuala Selangor at 8pm. Granny and Grandpa was there to welcome you. Grandpa is afraid that you could be bitten by mosquitoes, so he fumigated the house before we arrived. You seemed to be happy to see them, because you giggled a lot when playing with them on the bed.

Dear Yasmin,
Today we took you to a class! You enjoyed it so much!
We went to a baby massage class this afternoon, and there were 6 babies there in total, but they either went to drink milk or dozed off. You were the only baby who enjoyed the whole class. You were so happy, kept speaking your baby tongue. When mommy massaged you, you laughed so much. Daddy took video of you!

Dear Yasmin,
roll roll roll!!!
Mommy and Daddy had a lot of fun with you today playing on the floor. Now that you've mastered rolling over to your stomach and back again, you enjoyed rolling so much that you kept rolling off the mattress onto the floor. Last week, you still need some help from Daddy and Mommy to pull your arm from under your body a few times, now you roll with expert skills. You even started trying to move forward by curling up and uncurling your body. You managed to move, but backward, instead of forward.

Dear Yasmin,
What a courageous girl you are yesterday! You didn't cry when Dr Gong gave you the jab yesterday. Daddy and Mommy were very anxious last night, checking if you run a fever after the jab. Luckily you only had higher temperature but not fever. Daddy placed a damp towel on your little forehead, armpits and neck to help you cool down. You enjoy it so much when the cool towel touched your forehead, you made giggling sound and threw your arms and legs about. You looked like cute Japanese girl with the towel on hear forehead.

Excersice day

Dear Yasmin,

Today you made your first mini push-ups. You can't flip over yet, but when placed on your stomach, you can support your body with your arms, and your head held high and turn around to see things. These mini push-ups could strengthen your neck muscle so that you can hold your head without wobbling. It is so funny to see you lift up your head, then when you felt tired, flop down on the mat.

Dear Yasmin,
Great-grandpa, Mommy's grandpa came to see you this morning. He was so happy to hold you. This evening we went to the full-month celebration of the son of Mommy's aunt, your grand-aunt. She is the daughter of Great-grandpa's brother, so the baby is your uncle, but he is younger than you by 1 month. 2 of your grand-aunt and a grand-uncle have not settled yet, so there will be many uncles and aunties that are even younger than you are.

Party on!

Dear Yasmin,
Today you were the diva of the day! Daddy and Mommy invited many friends to share your full-month celebration. Granny and daddy cooked many delicious dishes, and we ordered a beautiful full-month cake for you!
Everyone took picture with you, and presented gifts for you. We even had 2 babies, they are the babies of daddy's and mommy's friend from the ante-natal class. I invited them to join us over Christmas, so you may play with the babies soon.
