Dear Yasmin,

Daddy has so much fun with you today! Unknown to Daddy and Mommy, you learned a new trick. This morning, when daddy carried you out to the living room and placed you on the floor, you started clapping your hands and at the same time, turn your body around using your feet to make quatre turns. You were so happy showing daddy this trick. Then daddy sat on the floor and we turn together! Now when daddy say 'Turn!' you make turns...and giggle and clap....

So clever!

Big foot!!

Dear Yasmin,

Who's hands and feet are these? Yours!! Daddy and Mommy took your hand print and foot prints on your birthday and you kept giggling when daddy painted the colors on your hands and feet.

How much you have grown... It is amazing when mommy and daddy look at them now, compared to your 1 month old prints.... you are so big now.. then you were so tiny.

We have been collecting your hands and foot prints since you are one month old. We took another one at 3 months and 6 months...

We are going to take your prints every 6 months, then when you are older, this will be a whole collection for you to keep.

Birth Flower - Lily of the Valley

Dear Yasmin,

Daddy found out what is your birth flower today! Amazingly it is dadd's most favourite flower: Lily of the Valley.

This flower has long green stems and tiny little white flowers that look like bells grown along the stems. The flowers remind daddy of your chubby little fingers and toes, and it also has the most wonderful scent.

You smell great too... after mommy gives you a bath!

1st Birthday part 2

Dear Yasmin,

Today you are ONE!!

One year ago today, mommy gave birth to you. You were tiny and beautiful when you arrived. Daddy was happy to have heard your first cry, saw you first open your eyes in the delivery room. Mommy gave you your first hug just minutes after you came into this world.

One year later, today, you are a happy, healthy, beautiful little girl. You can sit, you can crawl, you can stand, and cruise around. Very soon you will be able to walk and talk.

You are still feeding on mommy's breast, although you've started eating porridge with fish, veg and meat. Your favourite snack is bread and sweet potato.

Every morning when you wake up, you look for daddy, and give a loud shot of joy when daddy pick you up and take you out to play. This is our special moment everyday. Sometimes, daddy bring you down to have a walk, sometimes, daddy bring you to the market to see all the different colors of veg, fish, fruit. You love looking at tomatoes, bellpeppers and eggplants. You also love touching them feeling the different texture of their skins. Sometimes you will hold them so tight, we have to bring the tiny eggplant and bellpeppers home and you'd play with them all day.

We visit grandma and grandpa everyday, they love hugging you, bring you to the garden and show you birds, and cats and dogs. Grandpa almost everyday carry you in his
arms when you fall asleep for 1 hour.

You can give high five to daddy, clap your hands when you are happy, bow your hands to say thank you, give fly-kisses and shake your head when you don't want something.

When you grow up and look at what daddy has written, you'll know how much you have grown from a helpless bundle into a pretty little girl. I also hope you will know how much daddy and mommy and the whole family love you.

This morning we went to the temple to give thanks to Buhdda and Kwan Yim for watching over you and to seek blessings for our whole family. You imitated daddy and mommy and kneeled down and bow your hands to Buhdda and Kwan Yim.

Mommy bought a beautiful cake for you and we cut the cake with grandma and grandpa after dinner!

BBQ

Dear Yasmin,

Last Saturday you joined your very first BBQ.... BabyQ! It wouldn't be wrong to call it a BabyQ, because there were many babies there too and they were so cute.

Mommy and Daddy met many new friends living close to us and you met many other children. Daddy didn't realise you were so friendly, we were worried that you might be shy meeting so many strangers, but you kept your little arms waving, and laughing....

An auntie started blowing soup bubbles and all the children started jumping up and down poking at bubbles, you also waved your hands trying to catch them. You loved the soup bubbles so much that you hands became little windmills.

Mommy was so proud of you finally learned using the drinking cup, and guess what your second tooth is also coming out. It is the lower front tooth on the right, we can now see the white line of the top of the tooth coming out.... you'll have 2 teeth soon!!

Baby Step

Dear Yasmin,

Daddy and Mommy was so happy yesterday! You took your first step forward.

you stood up and looked at daddy with a wide smile, seemed not knowing what to do next standing all by yourself. Then you yelled and took one step forward, then a second step, and rushed into daddy's arms. You were so excited and kept blabbing away..

You are nearly 1 Yasmin, and very soon you will start walking, running and become independent. Mommy and Daddy would miss the little bundle who kept screaming for us to carry her around.

1st Birthday part 1

Dear Yasmin,

Do you know that you are a very lucky little girl? You have 2 birthdays!!

Today is your Chinese traditional birthday which grandma celebrates and next week mommy will celebrate your normal birthday. Grandma made red eggs for you.... they were so red and cute you kept looking at them and tried to grab them, but they would make your little hands red. Grandpa also bought a cake for you!

You were so happy when we sang the birthday song for you and you kept clapping your hands and tried to follow us singing!

Yasmin, you're a big girl now!

Dear Yasmin,

You looked such a big girl in your new dress and new shoes!

We've just came back from lunch with grandma, grandpa and auntie Annie. We went to Mos Burgar, and you had some bread too!

Look at you, in your white dress and pink shoes, laughing so happily. You even 'pose' for Daddy.

Yasmin in da Zoo!!

Dear Yasmin,

Wow! You are tanned! We went to the zoo this morning!

Daddy, mommy and auntie Annie took you to the zoo this morning. We prepared potatoes salad, roast chicken sandwiches and drinks to pinic in the zoo.

You were so amazed when we first visited the polar bears. The mommy and son polar bears were so huge and white. It was so hot in the morning, they hid in the water the whole day. They love bathing just like you!

Our little flower Yasmin dosed off after the polar bears, so we went inside the air-con room to rest and let you sleep for an hour. It was so cool inside, and there were 4 other babies inside sleeping!

We then went to the butterfly room and your eyes opened so big following the butterflies zooming here and there. A puple butterfly even stopped on your hat! we took so many pictures there!

Afterwards, we went to the children's play area, we went to the KFC and found a place to sit down so mommy could feed you your lunch, we all had picnic with some KFC chicken too! Daddy then took you to the play pool and wow, you were so happy as soon as you stood inside the pool. you kept jumping, squealing, laughing, making happy happy sound. You splashed water until your butt was all wet and daddy was all wet.

We visited the children's zoo afterwards and you seemed to attract the attention of the goats. You took pictures with the piggies with mommy and we saw some little mouse suckling on their mommy. Just like you do on the bed.

It threathend to rain soon, and we hurried home. Before we left, we took picture with the very big cow infront of Ben and Jerry's ice-cream.

What a wonderful outing!!

wave Bye Bye

Dear Yasmin,

Mommie was so funny! She said the fever you had the last few days had 'unblocked' your brain, so you are now smarter!!

Well we found that suddenly after the fever had gone away, you started waving bye bye when we told you so. Your style of waving bye bye is to open and close your little hand facing yourself. You also started making 'p ... p...' sound to go with it.

Roseola AttacK

Dear Yasmin,

You started having little red spots all over your face and body yesterday, and this morning, there are more of them and redder in colour! You have what Dr Gong said Roseola.

Last Friday you started having a little fever in the morning, by bedtime, you fever had climbed up to 39.2 degree. Mommy and Daddy sponge bathed you and gave you panadol and the fever subsided afterward. However the fever came back the next morning to 39.3 degree and we were very worried. We sponge bathed you a few times and your fever would go away for a few hours and always came back.

We brought you to see Dr Gong on Monday morning and he said you probably have Roseola and you would start having little red spots on your body soon for a few days. True enough, your fever had gone away and the little red spots arrived at night.

You were so tired after the fever, the last few days you were very clingy and always stick to mommy and daddy. You didn't even want to push your walker. Get well soon Yasmin! Daddy and mommy love you!

Yasmin,

Daddy spend the whole afternoon today playing just with Yasmin! It rained very heavyily odayin the afternoon and you was sacred by the thunder and hid inside Daddy's arms. You took daddy's book and started flipping it. You were so happy seeing the pages flipping back and giggles and giggles so much...

Hurray!!

Dear Yasmin,

Hurray!! Hip Hip Hurray!!! Put your hands together and Clap clap clap!!!

Mommy and Daddy were having lunch, and you were sitting in your highchair. Suddenly we heard a faint clapping sound and to our amazment, you were happily claping your hands trying to catch our attention!

You clapped, mommy and daddy clapped, our home was full of clapping sound and you were so happy you squealed!!

Dear Yasmin,

Mommy and Daddy wanted to see if you can start feeding yourself today. We gave you a piece of apple and see what would you do with it. You picked it up, looked at it, shaked your arm around, banged the apple on the table, then put it in your mouth. You laughed and gave us a very proud smile!

Dear Yasmin,

Wow!! This evening you crawled towards daddy, climbed up and leaned on my leg, then you pushed...! You didn't fall as you used to, but stood firmly on the floor!! Daddy and mommy looked at you, amazed, and was so proud of you.

Finally the first tooth is cut

Dear Yasmin,

When mommy bathed you today, as usual she cleaned your mouth and she felt a little bump on your gum. Mommy asked daddy to checked, so the 2 of us hovered above your head trying to open and look into your mouth. We were so happy your first tooth is cut! Although we still can't see the tooth, but we have been so worried why you still haven't cut your first tooth by 10 month. We hugged and kissed you and we were so happy!!

Kissy Girl 啜啜 錫哂你

Dear Yasmin,

When I found you awake this morning, you were playing with your bolsters, and as soon as you saw me, you smile with your mouth wide open and gave me a kiss. Daddy's day is made!

Mommy and Daddy have been trying to figure out when did you pick up making the kissing sound. Friday night when we went to Granny's for dinner, out of the blue you gave granny and grandpa a kiss, they were so happy laughing that we couldn't find their eyes.

Now you kisses seems to be the exlir to brighten up our days, make everything alright and worthwhile.

Dear Yasmin,

Today daddy was very happy. I rented 2 videos and this is the first time since your birth daddy and mommy watched movies together. We placed you in between us, and you were playing and sucking on your toy rabbit.

Mommy asked Daddy to bring out the Christmas tree sometime next week. We have been making plans to decorate the tree, and the house. You will sure be dazzled Yasmin, we can wait to see you mersimised by the lights.

Dear Yasmin,
We went to the library today! Mommy and Daddy want you to enjoy reading when you grow up, so we took you to the library to find some books to read to you. We found Mother Goose, Wobble bear, and You are special.
You loved the pictures in the books, you even tried to turn the pages for mommy!

Dear Yasmin,
Today you have your own armchair!! Mommy and Daddy want you to begin to try sitting up. We got you a Bumbo seat and you were so happy in it. Granny and Aunty Annie saw you and laughed because you looked like sitting on the toilet!
